The release of the book and CD versions of The Time of My Life have been pushed forward to September 29 after Swayze passed away last week, the New York Daily News reports.
Penned with his wife of 34 years Lisa Niemi, the book includes Swayze's thoughts during the filming of 1987's Dirty Dancing with Jennifer Grey.
Swayze said: "We did have a few moments of friction when we were tired or after a long day of shooting.
"She seemed particularly emotional, sometimes bursting into tears if someone criticised her. Other times, she slipped into silly moods, forcing us to do scenes over and over again when she'd start laughing."
He added: "I was on overdrive for the whole shoot - staying up all night to do rewrites, squeezing in dance rehearsals, shooting various scenes - and was exhausted a lot of the time. I didn't have a whole lot of patience for doing multiple retakes."
However, Swayze also said that Grey did a "truly phenomenal job" and "in many ways, she made the movie".
