Gwen Stefani - "not a movie star"
Published Sunday, Dec 26 2004, 21:54 GMT | By Daniel Saney
No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani insists that her focus is still on her music career after her appearance in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator.
While she would like to move into acting as well as singing she wants to make it clear that she is nowhere near that position yet, having only appeared in The Aviator for a few minutes.
She said: "I'm not a movie star. It's almost embarrassing talking about a movie that I'm only in for a couple of minutes. It's like, don't blink or you'll miss me.
"Leo(nardo Dicaprio) and the rest are the stars and I'm just lucky enough to have a moment in it playing Jean Harlow - a real Hollywood legend."
"I've been trying to do films for years, but it's hard to find the right roles. I would love to get to a position where I was known for my acting as much as my singing."
