The film, which will be screened from next month, features footage of Jackson rehearsing for his shows in London.
It will have 15 simultaneous premieres on October 28, with the Leicester Square screening beginning at 1am to match the 6pm showing in Los Angeles.
The film's director Kenny Ortega said: "This Is It may go down as the greatest concert no-one got a chance to see.
"But with this film we get a rare portrait of Michael as he prepares for his final curtain call."
After the premieres the film will be open to the public for two weeks.
