Heigl 'wants to look like Nicole Richie'

Katherine Heigl has revealed that she hates dieting.

The actress explained that she wants to avoid getting too slim so that she can be a role model to younger women, Now reports.

"I hate dieting," she said. "I hate the whole thing! My own insecurity makes me want to look like Nicole Richie. But I'm 5ft 9ins, and have substantial breasts, hips and everything else so it's never going to happen."

Heigl continued: "What stops me is that I want young girls to look at me and think, 'That's healthy, that's what I want - she's on television and she looks like me'.

"I eat a lot. Food is, kind of, an obsession of mine."

Heigl recently adopted a baby girl from Korea with her husband Josh Kelley.
