Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh has taken part in a charity walk for Breast Cancer Haven in Leeds.

The star, who donned six-inch heels for the mile-long 'High heel-a-thon', joined 200 other people as they marched through the city centre.

"This is a fantastic event. As a Yorkshire girl I'm so excited to be part of it," she told The Sun.

Walsh reportedly agreed to back the charity after her former dance teacher Deana Morgan was diagnosed with cancer.

Earlier this year, Walsh and fellow bandmate Cheryl Cole joined a host of other celebrities to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief.
