Katie Price 'backs Andre over Yorke'

Katie Price has reportedly claimed that her ex-partner Peter Andre should be regarded as the real dad of her son Harvey.

The 7-year-old's biological father Dwight Yorke blasted Andre in a Sunday newspaper interview yesterday, admitting that he wanted to "throttle" the popstar when he spoke about wanting to adopt Harvey.

Yorke also accused Price of blocking his access to his son, suggesting that they missed out on the chance to form a "bond" as a result.

According to the Daily Star, Price has now told a friend: "He's always come and gone. He wouldn't see him very often. He should be ashamed. He has not fulfilled his responsibility as a father like he said he would.

"I couldn't give two s**ts. Pete's his dad at the end of the day."

She is said to have added: "I have always asked [Dwight] to see more of his son so I don't know what he's talking about."

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the glamour girl said: "Kate Price's priority is her children and always has been. She wouldn't do anything to jeopardise her children in any way and suggestions otherwise could not be further from the truth."
