Janet Jackson has reportedly given a talk for AIDS group amfAR.

The 43-year-old spoke before an audience at the inaugural amfAR Milano event, which included rapper Kanye West, fashion designer Donatella Versace and actresses Dita von Teese and Rachel Bilson. The fundraiser was held in conjunction with Milan Fashion Week, Entertainment Tonight reports.

Jackson said: "We are so grateful that you are opening your hearts and together we can realise our dream of a world without AIDS…This battle needs all of us to be brave warriors."

Kevin Robert Frost, the chief executive of the non-profit HIV prevention and AIDS research foundation, said that the 'Together Again' singer "brings incomparable grace and a history of dedication to the fight against AIDS".

Jackson recently received the Vanguard accolade at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Awards.
