Fox: 'I'd be crazy to google myself'

Megan Fox has said that she would have to be a "drug-addled lunatic" to google herself.

The Transformers star, who is in an on/off relationship with actor Brian Austin Green, said that she avoids reading news and gossip online because she can't cope with criticism.

Fox told Total Film magazine: "There are those who have a Google Alert on themselves and read everything everyone says and then there are those who pretend it isn't happening. I'm one of the latter."

She continued: "I could never pore over what's said about me. It wouldn't work. I'd be a complete lunatic, drug-addled and out of my mind. Instead I stay in and ignore it all. I'm actually kind of a recluse."

The 23-year-old actress also said that she has come to terms with the fact that her looks outweigh her talent in the film industry, saying: "I'm totally aware that I've never given anyone a reason to praise me for my talents. So to sit here and complain, 'Why don't people recognise me as an actress?' would be outrageous."

She added: "It's my responsibility to prove to them that they should. I haven't done that yet, so I'm not going to whine about it."
