Hudson: 'My son is cutest thing in world'

Jennifer Hudson has revealed that she is loving her new role as a mother, branding her baby son "the cutest thing in the world".

The Dreamgirls star and fiancé David Otunga welcomed son David Daniel Otunga on August 10.

Speaking to People, she said: "There are no words for it. He's the best. It's just amazing - us discovering each other, me becoming a mum.

"He seems like he's very interested in music already. The other night he was having a fit screaming, and someone turns on the music and he just stops and calms down. And I was exactly the same way as a baby."

She added: "He's a very rare newborn. He tries a lot - he's turning over, he's lifting up his own head, he tries to hold his own bottle, sometimes I swear he's talking to me, or at least trying to.

"The other day he said, 'Hi!' - I swear, I'm not crazy. David was there too, and he was like, 'He just said, 'Hi!' He's very aware."

Hudson previously described the baby as "so precious" and admitted that she found it hard being away from him.
