If you're young enough to have grown up entertaining the thought that Dick and Dom in da Bungalow is the height of children's comedy, then get yourself on YouTube right now and type in the words, 'Trevor & Simon'. Trevor Neal and Simon Hickson brought anarchic off-the-wall humour to the nation's TV screens via Saturday morning shows Going Live! and Live & Kicking during the late '80s and early '90s. And if you're lucky enough to own the VHS of their 1993 'The Blimey, That's Good! Tour', then you'll understand what we're banging on about - and be the owner of a much sought-after collector's item.

They had too many classic sketches to mention them all, but some of the best loved were the 'swing your pants' folk duo from The Singing Corner, Ken and Eddie Kennedy, and the genius paranormal spoof World Of The Strange. They never patronised children, managed to toe the line between cheeky smut and offensive gags, and were the most undervalued contributors to the BBC's Saturday morning glory years. When they were foolishly axed and replaced by the frankly horrendous Nick Ball and James Hickish, the duo's dedicated fanbase bombarded the Beeb and one series later, they were back where they belonged on Going Live!. While their attempts to break into adult TV may have flopped, T&S shall never be forgotten.
