No Christmas present for Cowell's girlfriend

X Factor's self-styled "Mr Nasty" Simon Cowell lived up to his reputation this Christmas after failing to give his girlfriend a gift.

Presenter Terri Seymour said she was "absolutely livid" when she woke up on Christmas morning to find her stocking bare.

The pair, who have been dating since 2002, are currently on a three-week break at a luxury hotel in Barbados.

"She went around making sure all the other guests knew about it and telling them all what a rotter I was," admitted Cowell, 45. "No doubt it will have enhanced my reputation as being a meanie."

The record exec made up for his blunder two days later when he presented Seymour with an expensive diamond bracelet and a single red rose to apologise.
