Last month, members of Climate Rush covered Clarkson's garden with manure to protest against his "blasé" attitude towards climate change.
However, Clarkson dismissed the incident while speaking at the launch of Top Gear's Live World Tour, BBC News reports.
"Teenage girls get into a strop about all sorts of things," the presenter said, adding that reading about climate change is "all rather boring".
"I read the reports that come in from various scientific bodies and as far as I can work out nobody actually knows whether man is contributing to global warming or not," he said.
"The oil will run out one day and we'll have to come up with something then, but let's not worry about it now."
