Sean Penn 'accused of assault'

A celebrity photographer has allegedly filed a police report claiming that he was assaulted by the actor Sean Penn.

The incident reportedly took place outside the Brentwood Country Mart in Los Angeles on Friday.

According to TMZ, Penn was entering the store to find something to eat, and took offence when photographer Jordan Dawes refused to leave him alone.

It was reported that the Milk star kicked and hit Dawes multiple times.

Earlier this year, Penn announced that he was taking a break from acting for a year in order to concentrate on his marriage.
