Jury can't decide about Dunst burglary

A jury has failed to reach a decision on whether a man accused of stealing from Kirsten Dunst was guilty of burglary.

James Jimenez was convicted of trespassing and may be retried for the more serious charge in the future.

The mechanic was accused of stealing a designer purse and $2,000 (£1,300) from Dunst's New York hotel room in 2007, when the actress was filming How To Lose Friends And Alienate People.

However, Jimenex told jurors that he was tricked into entering Dunst's living quarters by co-defendant Jarrod Beinerman.

He is now free on $50,000 bail and will be sentenced on November 13.

Both Dunst and co-star Simon Pegg were called on to make testimonies during the trial.
