Vernon Kay: 'I love Tess's attitude'

Vernon Kay has praised his wife Tess Daly for her "attitude".

Speaking to Now, the presenter explained that he had been attracted to Daly's independent nature.

"She just had an attitude like no-one else I'd ever met before," he said. "She was really independent, which I think is a very sexy trait.

"If a woman's independent and in control of her own destiny, I really like that. The spark between us was instant."

Kay added: "I wouldn't say she's tamed me, but she's definitely pointed me in a different direction. I'm a lot more responsible now."

Daly gave birth to the couple's second daughter in May.
