Julia Roberts visits the Taj Mahal

Julia Roberts has reportedly visited the Taj Mahal.

According to STV, the Oscar winner was "absolutely astounded" by the famous structure as she took a private tour in Agra, India last weekend.

A source said: "Julia was breathless, absolutely astounded by the Taj. She looked on in wonderment as her guide explained the intricate patterns and designs on the marble surface.

"The Taj is a legendary symbol of love and hopefully the monument will be an inspiration to her for her latest film."

The 41-year-old actress, who is staying with Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his home while she films her new film Eat, Pray, Love, has reportedly become deeply involved in Hindu culture.
