Angelina criticises miserly stars

Tomb Raider actress has criticised miserly stars who refuse to give money to worthy causes.

Despite earning millions many celebrities insist on spending it on excessively luxurious and decadent lifestyles rather than giving something back to society, she says.

She told Reader's Digest how she set an example of holding a fundraising event for landmines a few years ago. However, despite her efforts a collection of 40 wealthy stars only raised $4,000 between them.

Yesterday it was reported that Miss Congeniality actress Sandra Bullock has donated $1m to the American Red Cross to help with recovery work following the events of Boxing Day in Asia, so she should escape Angelina's wrath.
