Russell Brand "in love" with Katy Perry

Russell Brand has announced that he is "in love" with Katy Perry.

The couple were rumoured to have got together following the MTV VMA Awards. However, the comedian is now believed to be so taken with the singer that he has vowed to end his womanising ways.

Speaking to reporters in London, he confessed: "I think I'm in love." However, when asked about specifics regarding his relationship with Perry, he added: "I don't think I should be drawn on that."

Sources claim that the 34-year-old comic is keen to keep the romance under wraps in order not to spoil his chances with the 'Hot N Cold' star.

An insider told The Sun: "Russell has had a crush on Katy for ages and was like an excited schoolboy after they got together. He really sees her as an ideal catch and is prepared to stop seeing other girls. He doesn't want to talk about it yet as he doesn't want to blow his chances."

The 24-year-old was spotted in London with Brand at the weekend, and despite then heading to France for Paris Fashion Week, is said to be keen to return to the presenter's home.

A source said: "She knows about Russell's reputation but finds him really charming and funny. She's keen to make a go of it."
