Punters expect Price, Andre reunion

Bookmakers have slashed the odds of a shock reunion for warring pair Katie Price and Peter Andre.

Ladbrokes dropped their odds from 100/1 to 4/1 following a flurry of bets in recent days, the Daily Star reports.

Spokesman David Williams confirmed: "When the phone started going we thought our punters had gone crackers. When it carried on all day, the alarm bells started ringing. This would be the biggest U-turn in showbiz and betting history, but we're not prepared to offer better than 4/1."

Meanwhile, Paddy Power has started offering odds of 10/1 due to similar betting patterns from its customers.

Representative Darren Haines said: "People have never completely written off the chances of Katie and Peter getting back together. We've certainly had some unexpected interest in the last few days."

Rumours that the pair have earned £8m from their May separation have sparked fresh speculation that their recent antics could be a publicity stunt.

A showbiz source commented: "The feeling is that this marriage, which let [Katie] build up a £30m fortune, will not be allowed to go up in smoke so easily."

Spokesmen for both Price and Andre have dismissed the speculation.
