Sophie Monk 'stalked by crazy fan'

Sophie Monk has asked a bodyguard to move in with her after a stalker tried to break into her LA home.

The Aussie model and actress, who previously lived alone in her two-bedroom apartment, has hired renowned celebrity security guard Max Lee to become her new housemate.

Monk told The Daily Telegraph: "There was this guy who was following me for a few weeks. He actually tried to break into my house."

She added: "I think everyone thinks because I'm in LA I live in a mansion with cameras everywhere, when really I live in this small place with not much security. I nearly got a restraining order but then I just thought, I'll move Max in instead."

Monk was spotted having lunch with wannabe record producer Kyle Sandilands at the weekend, prompting speculation for the second time that she is trying to launch her music career.
