Lohan: 'I don't read negative press'

Rex Features

Lindsay Lohan has revealed that she does not go online and avoids negative press stories about herself.

The actress told The Times that she will not stop doing what she wants for fear of how she will be reported.

Lohan said: "I just don't read it anymore. I don't go on the net. They want a car crash, which doesn't make me want to give it to them, but nor am I going to stop myself from doing things that other girls my age would do.

"Of course I regret some of them. But the media now is so unhealthy. It's like they're waiting to devour you."

Of her move into the fashion industry, she added: "I think it all works hand in hand - music, film, fashion. It's not as if I have a five-year plan.

"Plus finally I have good people around me. Because for a long time I didn't really see what was going on. I think at one point there were a lot of people around me who didn't have my best interests at heart.

"When you grow up on a film set surrounded by adults, and with responsibilities, you can't always see how much it's all draining you - sycophantic. Yes that's the word I'd use."
