Mum defends Lohan after criticism

Lindsay Lohan's mother has spoken out to defend the actress after her debut fashion collection was panned by critics.

The Mean Girls star reportedly received negative feedback after she showcased her first line for Emanuel Ungaro at Paris Fashion Week on Sunday.

Speaking to OK, her mother Dina said: "She's just a little girl and God gave her this gift.

"She's just trying to create. She did great in Paris, don't believe what you read. She's genius at fashion."

Lohan reportedly burst into tears while walking the runway in France and later admitted that creating the range was "the hardest thing I've ever done".
