Ronaldo named Armani underwear model

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the new face of Emporio Armani underwear and jeans, according to The AP.

The Real Madrid and Portugal footballer will take over from David Beckham in the latest advertising campaign for the Italian fashion house.

Giorgio Armani reportedly confirmed the news this morning. Ronaldo, 24, will begin shooting his worldwide commercials in 2010.

Beckham had been the face of the products since January 2008 and recently posed with wife Victoria for a series of racy billboard adverts.
