Hamm 'worked at low end of Hollywood'
Jon Hamm has revealed that he used to work at the "low end of the Hollywood spectrum".

The Mad Men star told David Letterman that he used to work backstage on films before landing the role.

"There's always that fallow period in any actor's life," he said. "My most proud moment in that phase of my life, I worked behind the camera on some special projects - as a set dresser.

"So I would move all the props around. It was sort of on the low end of the Hollywood spectrum."

He continued: "I don't remember [the films] having titles. They were the kind of movies that would appear late night on Cinemax."

When asked by Letterman if those films included "nakedtivity", he replied: "There's a certain amount of nudeular activity, yes."
