Simpson blasts "cruel" dog reports

Jessica Simpson has blasted hoaxers for falsely claiming that her recently snatched dog is still alive.

The former Newlyweds star was devastated after her Maltipoo Daisy was taken by a coyote last month.

A search and rescue mission for the 5-year-old pet was later called off.

Writing on her Twitter account, she said: "People have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found.

"Untrue. People are so cruel. Please respect her memory."

Simpson was bought the puppy by ex-husband Nick Lachey, who recently admitted that he was "upset" to learn about her disappearance.
