Rossum: 'I get why chicks dig Duritz'

Emmy Rossum has revealed that she understands why "chicks dig" her rumoured boyfriend, Counting Crows star Adam Duritz.

The 23-year-old actress, who is in the process of divorcing music executive Justin Siegal, said that although she cannot confirm if she is dating Duritz, she can see why women generally would be attracted to him.

Rossum told People magazine: "I really can't say whether I'm with him or not. But I get why chicks dig him. He's extremely kind, incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, creative and respectful."

She continued: "I don't discuss my love life because it's always misinterpreted or put under the microscope. It's especially annoying when you're dating someone else who's well-known, which is why I normally would never go out with a famous guy."

Rossum added: "Let's put it this way, I'd be flattered if someone hit on me, but I really can't say if I'm available or not."

Last month, Rossum joined Duritz on stage at a New York concert for a rendition of 'Going Back To Georgia'.
