Accountant: 'Katona decision is a joke'

An accountant who claims that he was assaulted by Kerry Katona has expressed outrage following the news that she will not face charges.

Financial adviser David McHugh had accused the reality star of punching him in a heated row when she visited his office in Warrington on August 26.

Katona was arrested over the alleged incident at the time. However, it was announced yesterday that no further action will be taken against her.

Speaking to The Sun, McHugh has now described the decision as "an absolute joke".

Meanwhile, Katona commented: "I'm delighted this is finally over. It was hell."

It is thought that the Crown Prosecution Service decided not to pursue the matter due to "conflicting witness evidence" and because pictures of McHugh's injuries apparently did not match his story.
