Peter Andre: 'I'm getting close to Mel B'

Peter Andre has admitted that he is growing close to Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte.

The 'Behind Closed Doors' singer dated Mel for a short period of time in 1996. In recent weeks, he has been spotted with the Spice Girl and her new partner in London on more than one occasion.

Writing in his New magazine column, Andre explained: "I've seen Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte a lot over the last few weeks and I'm pleased to say that we're getting close again. I find her hilarious and really enjoy her company."

He added: "Stephen is great, too, and they're really well matched. Who says you can't be friends with your exes, eh?"

It is thought that Mel was present when Andre was confronted by Katie Price's friend Phil Turner at the Mayfair Hotel last week.

The popstar split from Price in May and they have been embroiled in a war of words ever since.
