Gail Porter attempts stand-up gigs

TV presenter Gail Porter has confirmed that she has been performing low-key stand-up comedy gigs.

The former children's TV host, 38, revealed on her official website that she had been doing a "bit of stand-up".

Porter has only played small events so far and has not announced any dates or venue details for further gigs. None of her material or gags have been revealed either.

"It's something she has tried out twice so far and she thoroughly enjoyed it," her spokesperson told The Scotsman.

The ex-Fully Booked and Top of the Pops star is rumoured to be planning a documentary about her latest career move.
