The Wu-Tang Clan rappers were involved in a drive-by shooting early on in their careers, in which Method Man claims that RZA prevented him from being killed.
During the early '90s, Method Man was talking to several friends in front of a building when RZA called to him from the other side of the street. Crossing the road, Method Man narrowly missed being shot as trouble flared.
"[I called], 'Come over here, yo!'" RZA recalled to CNN. "[Method Man] stopped and came running over. A few seconds later - pow, pow ,pow, pow, pow! A guy started shooting up the front of [a house]. A buddy of ours, Poppy, an innocent, school-going, nice guy - he was shot and killed right there."
The star added: "Meth always brings it up... that that day saved his life. He actually said, if it was anybody else calling him, he wouldn't have came."
