Beckhams crowned top 'modern family'

The Beckhams best represent the modern family unit, a nationwide survey has found.

The couple and their three sons beat The Simpsons to the top spot in the Sky1 poll, which was carried out to mark the channel's launch of US sitcom Modern Family.

Peter Andre was named as the best role model as a father, while Kate Winslet polled the most votes to be crowned top mum.

Sky1 questioned 3,000 Britons in the survey ahead of Modern Family's UK debut.

Head of acquisitions Sarah Wright described the faux documentary as "the funniest American comedy in years" when the channel picked up its UK rights in August.
