Becker denies broom cupboard romp

Boris Becker has said that his infamous sexual encounter in London's Nobu restaurant took place on the stairs and not in the broom cupboard.

The presenter and former tennis champion reportedly made the revelation in an interview for Piers Morgan: Life Stories, which will air on ITV1 this Saturday at 10pm.

Becker, 41, said: "I don't know if a bathroom is a better place but it actually happened on the stairs between the bathrooms so there was no broom cupboard."

The well-publicised 1999 encounter with model Angela Ermakova left Becker with love-child Anna and led to his divorce from Barbara Feltus. According to The Daily Telegraph, Becker said that he had been overcome with shame and guilt at the time.
