'Hairy Biker' King injured in road accident

TV chef Simon King is reportedly recovering at his home after sustaining a leg injury in a motorcycle accident.

The Hairy Biker star was filming a Christmas show in his hometown of Newcastle when he was thrown from his bike, reports the BBC.

King, 42, was with his TV partner Dave Myers when the accident occurred during rush hour this morning. He was taken to Newcastle General Hospital for treatment to a minor knee injury.

Northumbria Police said that no-one else was hurt in the incident.
