Troyer 'denies coming on to Dyer's wife'

Verne Troyer has denied claims that he hit on Danny Dyer's wife, insisting he would "never disrespect" another human being that much.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus actor, who was accused by Dyer of "cracking on" to his wife at the recent Pride Of Britain awards, said that he behaved like a gentleman at all times.

In a blog on his official website, Troyer wrote: "Numerous blogs and magazines are reporting that I hit on some guy's wife at the Pride of Britain Awards last week in London. This so-called-actor named Danny Dyer gave some rude quotes about me."

He continued: "First off, I wouldn't know who you were if you were standing in front of me. Second, I would never disrespect someone by hitting on their wife. At the end of the day, don't use my name to get your name in the press. Don't use such poor judgement."

The 40-year-old also hit back at Dyer's claims that he spent most of the award ceremony talking on the phone.
