Madonna 'to meet with Mercy's dad'

Madonna will reportedly take her adopted daughter to visit her African homeland next week.

The singer plans to meet Mercy James's father during the trip to Malawi, The Mirror claims.

According to the newspaper, the 51-year-old wants to see if dad James Kambewa can still be a part of the 4-year-old's life.

Commenting on her motivation for travelling, a source close to the popstar said: "She realises her kids need a sense of home and she's determined to do all she can to give that to them."

They added: "She doesn't want to deny Mercy anything in life - and that includes meeting her dad if that's possible."
