Cox: 'I couldn't turn 40 without David'

Courteney Cox has revealed that she probably wouldn't have handled turning 40 so well if she wasn't married with children.

The Cougar Town star, who has 5-year-old daughter Coco with husband David Arquette, said that she would have found it harder getting older if she was still single.

Cox, who plays a single woman in her 40s in the ABC show, told OK: "Getting older is harder anyway, but living in Hollywood is exceptionally hard. It would be really scary if I wasn't married and I had to go back out there again."

The 45-year-old added: "David is much younger than me, I think it's great to be a cougar, if that's what they're called - I just don't know what the term is for a man who dates a younger woman."
