Ricky Martin is going to visit Phuket in Thailand today to see the devastation caused on Boxing Day.
The Latin American singer will be spending four days in the country which was devastated by the tidal wave on Boxing Day killing an estimated 5,300 people, reports the BBC.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Sihasak Phuangketkeow said: "I know he wants to see the devastation because he's concerned about orphans.
"I'm sure he will want to meet some of the orphans there in Phuket."
