'Jerry Springer' opera to tour

The controversial Jerry Springer: The Opera is to tour the UK.

Once the show has finished its run at the Cambridge Theatre in London on February 19, it will break until it begins again in Manchester in October.

The musical, which has so far been seen by 398,000 theatre-goers, sparked a record 7,361 complaints to the BBC when they decided to broadcast it on BBC2 last weekend, and there were protests by Christians as they burned their TV licences outside BBC offices in London.
