Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has reportedly bought a third property in New York.

The actor, who plays the title character in the wizard franchise, is understood to have purchased a townhouse worth £3.76 million.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the property was built by a sea captain for his daughter in 1847.

Radcliffe, 20, already owns a £3.2m apartment in the SoHo district and a £3m apartment with views of the Hudson River. He also owns a flat in London.

His Harry Potter co-stars Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) have also used their film earnings to buy property.

Grint is believed to own three estates, while Watson recently bought a £3 million London townhouse and is rumoured to own a ski chalet in France.
