Kelly Jones is to play a 20-minute solo set at the Millennium Stadium gig to raise funds to help rebuild the lives of those affected by the South East Asian Tsunami.
The Have A Nice Day singer will join Manic Street Preachers, Katherine Jenkins, Jools Holland, Keane, Aled Jones, Charlotte Church, Snow Patrol, Embrace, Badly Drawn Boy, Liberty X, Lemar, Craig David and Feeder at the sell-out charity event.
Radio 1 reports that Franz Ferdinand may participate in a similar event, perhaps a fudraising gig in Scotland. They told the station: "We're talking to people about doing something as it's one of the most shocking thing that's happened in recent history."
"So, we'd like to do something, what it is we're not sure yet."
"At the moment I'm writing and arranging a few new songs, and I'm meeting up with Nick in a couple of days to have a look at what we've got ready for the next album."
