Amanda Holden: 'Alex Reid is charming'

Amanda Holden has revealed that she was surprised by Alex Reid's "charming" nature when she met him recently.

The Britain's Got Talent judge chatted to Katie Price's cage-fighting boyfriend at Simon Cowell's 50th birthday party earlier this month.

Holden told The Mirror: "Jordan was the first person who came over to me. I'm a huge Peter Andre fan, but I found Alex Reid much more charming and affable than I thought I was going to."

Discussing the extravagant nature of Cowell's celebrations, she continued: "In the toilets there were tribute videos running from people all over the world like Oprah and everyone, saying happy birthday. It was hilarious but a bit distracting.

"The attention to detail was incredible. There were fake Rembrandts and famous watercolours all over the ceiling with Simon's face squeezed in."

Other celebrity guests at the party included Kate Moss, David Hasselhoff, Cheryl Cole and Sharon Osbourne.
