Jackson hearing will not be kept secret

Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville has ruled that a hearing over Michael Jackson's previous allegations of sexual misconduct will not be hidden from the media.
This is a blessing to both the media and the prosecution, but Jackson's lawyers had requested a closed hearing because its content could heavily influence potential jurors.
Jury selection will commence on January 31 following pretrial hearings regarding the admission of evidence before the 46-year-old singer is put on trial for allegedly plying a boy with alcohol before sexually molesting him.
