Katie Price: 'I kept my mouth shut'

Katie Price has claimed that she felt forced into talking about her split from Peter Andre because of the alleged untruths written about her in the media.

The glamour also model told This Morning yesterday that she found out that her divorce had been finalised by reading it in the newspapers.

Price said: "For four months I did keep my mouth shut, I really did, and it was all media stuff backwards and forwards, and I really did keep my mouth shut.

"But recently, so many claims he's coming out with and I am human. So sometimes, I do think back and think, 'Oh my God, this is the truth, why can't I say it?'."

She added: "And everyone's like, 'No, just leave them to it'. Lately I have bitten back, because it is just unbelievable the things they've written.

"I don't want it to be a public spat, but it is turning into that. Me and Pete, we split up, let's just move on, forget about it. I think our divorce came through yesterday - apparently, I don't know."

The couple first announced their split in May. Price called Andre a "true c***" on Twitter the following month before discussing the break-up in a televised interview with Piers Morgan in July.
