Price: 'I don't need celeb mum award'

Katie Price has insisted that she will not be disappointed if she fails to win the 2009 'Celebrity Mum of the Year' title.

The glamour model has been included on the shortlist this year alongside names like Holly Willoughby, Coleen Nolan, Fern Britton and Geri Halliwell.

Discussing her chances of victory in an interview with Live From Studio Five, Price explained: "It would be good, [but] I don't need a medal to show that I am a good mum. I know that I'm a good mum."

Asked whether the award would be appropriate given her reliance on nannies, she replied: "Like any working parent, sometimes you need a nanny. I like the kids to have a routine and I wouldn't be able to do my job otherwise."

This year's winner will be announced at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on November 4.
