Wright Penn 'will remain friends with Penn'

Robin Wright Penn has revealed that she will remain friends with soon-to-be ex-husband Sean Penn.

The State Of Play star resumed divorce proceedings against Penn in August, marking the third time the couple have sought to legally end their marriage.

Speaking to Redbook, she said: "It never [feels good]. Yes, it's divorce, it's a given that it will be public. But... it's so disrespectful. 'You're an actress, you owe us this?' 'F**k you,' is what I say."

She added that she will remain friends with Penn and has "no regrets" about her life, saying: "New beginnings, definitely. For me, my career too. My kids are older now."

Wright Penn and Penn married in 1996 and have two children together - Dylan Francis, 18, and 16-year-old son Hopper Jack.
