Jonze 'explains pulled Kanye promo'

Spike Jonze has explained why Kanye West recently removed the film they made together from his blog.

The rapper posted the video, entitled We Were Once A Fairytale, on his website on Sunday but later took it down without explanation.

In an interview with The New York Times, Jonze said that the clip had been leaked from the post-production facility of a friend and that West was not aware that it was still to be completed.

"I think he was like, 'Oh, it's out. I'll link to it'," he stated.

The director, who previously worked with West on his video to 'Flashing Lights', admitted that he felt uncomfortable by the leak.

"This is the first time it's happened to me and it is a weird feeling, like, 'Wait a second - I wasn't ready to put that out!'" he added. "'That's mine!' Uh, no. I guess it's not mine anymore."

We Were Once A Fairytale is due to be given a full release on iTunes next Tuesday, October 27.
