'Will & Grace' star 'glad to be older'

The star, who played squeaky-voiced Karen in Will & Grace, told the Los Angeles Times that she believes her good looks have prevented her getting character roles in the past.
However, she said that this is starting to change now she is ageing.
Commenting on reaching her half-century, Mullally stated: "It's just been the best thing. Once I turned 50, any shadow of a feeling that I had to be a babe, I thought certainly I don't have to do that now that I'm 50. So that was freeing."
The actress is currently starring in Adam Bock's play The Receptionist at the Los Angeles Odyssey Theatre.
