West gets 50 hours community service

Kanye West has been ordered to complete 50 hours of community service after a scuffle with photographers at Los Angeles International Airport last year.

However, a judicial officer dismissed the criminal charges against the rapper and his manager Don Crawley, as the case was settled out of court.

During the incident, which took place in September 2008, various pieces of camera equipment were damaged.

Both West and Crawley completed 12 hours of anger management classes following the brawl.

West's lawyer told the court that her client, who was not present at the hearing, had been "wildly overcharged" by city attorneys.
