Hayek 'takes up husband's eating habits'

Salma Hayek has said that she has traded her traditional Christmas dinner of turkey for oysters.

The Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant actress, who is married to French businessman Francois-Henry Pinault, has insisted that she was shocked to discover that her husband celebrated the festive season of December with shellfish rather than feasting on turkey, reports STV.

The 43-year-old said: "Eating oysters for Christmas is a weird one I didn't know about. I had no idea that would be happening. I'm used to turkey. It's going to take some getting used to."

Hayek and Pinault have 2-year-old daughter Valentina Paloma together.

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant is currently playing in US and UK cinemas.
