Lloyd Webber diagnosed with cancer

Andrew Lloyd Webber has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The composer's spokesman released a statement that said that the disease had been caught in its early stages.

"Andrew is now undergoing treatment and expects to be fully back at work before the end of the year," it explained.

The 61-year-old is due to launch a new BBC show next year to find upcoming stars to play Dorothy and Toto in a production of The Wizard of Oz.
